Mercy Hospital Downtown and Mercy Hospital Southwest maintain an 18-bed and 21-bed, respectively, Level II Emergency Department delivering 24/7 care. Managing MDs, PAs, and NPs will enable VEP to deliver collaborative, coordinated emergency care at each medical center.
Both emergency departments offer access to board-certified physicians, nurses, state-of-the-art digital diagnostic imaging technology, and a primary stroke center. For non-life-threatening emergencies, Mercy Downtown and Mercy Southwest offer InQuicker, a convenient online waiting service that allows patients to select an estimated arrival time and wait in the comfort of their home until then.
